Cannon Beach Events
Every community has a calender of events that reflects its local charm, values and regional characteristics. Cannon Beach’s calendar celebrates its history, talented artists, natural surroundings and local weather with special days dedicated to fun and education. Art festivals, nature walks, Sandcastle Days, holiday celebrations, and film festivals await visitors throughout the year. If you were to peek at the local community’s calender of events you might find historical talks, live music, book readings and public lectures.
Many of Cannon Beach’s events are multi-day affairs and worth planning a weekend around. You won’t be disappointed by what this unique, coastal town has to offer. All events are family friendly.
October Show at the Cannon Beach Gallery
rtist’s Marilyn Burkhardt and Liza Jones will be showing new work at the Cannon Beach Gallery from October 1 – November 2, 2009 with an opening reception on Saturday, October 3 from 6-8pm.

2008 Dec 6: Cannon Beach Lamp Lighting Ceremony
As part of the Haystack Holidays, there will be a lamp-lighting ceremony in Cannon Beach.
The ceremony will be on Saturday, December 6th, 2008 beginning at 4pm and held in Sandpiper Square. For those unfamiliar with the town, Sandpiper Square is on North Hemlock (the main street in downtown) at approximately 160 N. Hemlock Street.
2008 Nov 28-Dec 13: Haystack Holidays
Haystack Holidays start the holiday spirit in Cannon Beach with a number of events including wreath making, a special lamp lighting ceremony and a children’s play.
