Waves of Grain Bakery
Waves of Grain Bakery is owned by Jason and Hillary Fargo of Cannon Beach, Oregon. Who started the bakery because they were married and spent many weekends in Cannon, their favorite town. Jason and Hillary do most of the baking after learning to bake in North Carolina.
What’s special about Waves of Grain, is that they get the raw wheat berries from Hillary’s family’s wheat ranch, and then mill them into flour at the bakery before using it in their muffins and breads. Everything at the bakery is made from scratch using the freshest ingredients available, and have no trans fats.
Bread and pastries are baked daily. These include scones (traditional and spelt), biscuits (savory and sweet), muffins (daily flavor of fruit streusel and raisin bran), quiche (meat and veggie), and cinnamon rolls. Other selections include a case of scratch made desserts, many of which are wheat or gluten free, plust dairy free spelt muffins.
To accompany the bakery items, they serve locally roasted, organic, Sleepy Monk coffee and espresso drinks as well. It comes highly recommended by folks who have been there, and Jason says it’s the best he’s ever had.
